Community Blog

Everything is much more connected than we think.

  • This sense of community can be fostered through regular communication, collaboration on projects or events, and supporting each other through good and bad times. Ultimately, a strong community can provide a sense of belonging and support that enhances the well-being and happiness of its members.

for one another. This sense of belonging and support is what sets a community apart from a mere group of acquaintances or colleagues. It requires active participation, communication, and a willingness to be vulnerable with one another. When these elements are present, a community can provide a sense of belonging and purpose that is essential for human well-being.

Have you ever felt alienated? Like you don’t belong. I read that because of the pandemic, the younger generation has stunted the ability for them to evolve at the same rate as other older generations. A sense of community is a place to learn and grow beyond our own personality and inner thoughts.

I often wonder what the detriment of isolation will be. The world feels like we have all been pushed to a breaking point. We are frustrated with ourselves and everyone around us. We can self-regulate and act in an appropriate outward response to resolve our feelings of inner frustration.

To me personally, it has instilled a sense of fear. A fear of unpredictability in situations with others, a fear of how this one interaction will trigger or scratch beneath the surface of our own inability to protect ourselves from the energy of others.

In my own experience the only thing that has helped them begin to understand this strange new world, is finding a sense of belonging. Not that age should be the sole factor in how we align our self-image, but I feel like because of technology, the spaces between understanding each other have been magnified and spaced apart.

I never felt like I fit in with my current generation. I prefer speaking face to face, emails and text notifications send me into a spiral and it has taken me a long time to realize that a direct line to you should not always be available to everyone. Our time, thoughts, feelings, and opinions are a privilege, not a right.

What is your thought on connecting with others in this new era of old world-new world technology? Is there anything you think could help bridge the gap of sharing generational and community lines of information that we are not currently utilizing as members of society?
